Update on the Los Angeles fires. “We’re a Go for our Show!'“

As of 1/14/25, per the Pantages Theatre, we will still be attending the 1/15/25 show at the Pantages. It’s still a go. Recent shows have been cancelled since the fires broke out in Los Angeles. Shows are scheduled to resume 1/14/25. If any new information is released, we will post that information here on our website and on our Facebook site (Facebook: Silver Lining Travel and Day Tours)

WICKED “Broadway in Hollywood at the Pantages Theatre” - 1/15/25, $160 (Waitlisted)

The Broadway sensation, looks at what happened in the Land of Oz…but from a different angle.  Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another young woman, born with emerald-green skin—smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships…until the world decides to call one “good,” and the other one “wicked.”

From the first electrifying note to the final breathtaking moment, WICKED—the untold true story of the Witches of Oz—transfixes audiences with its wildly inventive story. Prior to the show, we will stop at the Farmers Market/The Grove for dinner on your own.

A truly wonderful way to spend a Saturday! We start the morning with a stop at Eataly, the two-story, 60,000 square foot emporium featuring various food counters that vend all things related to Italian cuisine. From there, it’s off to the Getty!  High atop a hill on 110 acres amongst the Santa Monica Mountains and overlooking Los Angeles is the Getty Center – still as incredible as it was the day it opened over 20 years ago.

MEDIEVAL TIMES Dinner & Tournament with ANAHEIM PACKING DISTRICT- 2/8/25- $140 (Includes Dinner and Show)

The Queen of the Royal Court invites you to travel through the mists of time to a festive celebration where you’ll be in awe of gallant knights and majestic horses. PARAMOUNT STUDIOS TOUR BY GOLF CART (with I Love Lucy stop at Desilu Studios/Lucy Park on the lot).  Lunch at Farmers Market/Grove- 2/12/25-$155

This trip we’ll walk in the footsteps of Lucille Ball and other legends at Paramount Studios, while we explore over a century of Hollywood history and witness more in the making at this famed studio. During our visit, a knowledgeable guide will lead us on an intimate, behind-the-scenes tour of the longest operating and only remaining major studio in Hollywood – where some of the most celebrated motion pictures and TV shows have been made. From the comfort of a shaded tour cart with plenty of time to also get out and stretch your legs, we’ll explore sound stages, the back lot, iconic Hollywood landmarks and more on this two-hour tour.  After, we’ll head to the Farmers Market and The Grove for lunch (on your own) and shopping.

O’CANADA Musical Tribute show to CELINE DION, MICHAEL BUBLE & SHANIA TWAIN in Palm Springs- 2/25/25 (Matinee 1:30pm)- $110

Travel with us to the Sierra Ballroom in Palm Springs for O' Canada, a fabulous tribute performance showcasing music from Michael Bublé, Celine Dion, and Shania Twain.  Experience the captivating Brigitte Valdez, whose portrayal of Celine Dion has dazzled audiences worldwide for over two decades performing songs such as "My Heart Will Go On" and "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" in prestigious venues like Las Vegas and Atlantic City.  “My Girl, Just My Imagination, Get Ready, Ain’t Too Proud to Beg, I Can’t Get Next to You, The Way You Do the Things You Do.”  Hit after hit!!!  As one of 2019's most sparkling Broadway musicals, Ain't Too Proud - The Life and Times of the Temptations hits the road for a huge national tour across the country. Gaining twelve 2019 Tony Award nominations, Ain't Too Proud received praise from the critics for its sublime performances and refreshing telling of how one of the world's most successful bands came to be. Full to the brim with some of The Temptation's most iconic hits, Ain't Too Proud follows the rise of the five-piece from Detroit, from their humble beginnings to international super stardom!  Ain't Too Proud is a glistening musical that celebrates life's triumphs and will leave you singing all the way home.  Dinner on your own prior to the show at “Riverside Food Lab Food Hall.”

**BROADWAY MUSICAL PRIORITY NOTIFICATION LIST**

Let us know if you're interested in seeing Broadway shows and we'll contact you for first right of refusal before we open the tour to the public.  By adding your name via our email (sales@travelsilverlining.com) or by phone (951) 929-6230, any time we plan to offer a new show, we'll reach out to those on this list for the first right of refusal, before the tour is published on our website and opened for bookings from the general public.

Tickets to sporting events and Broadway plays have become increasingly expensive. If there is enough interest, tickets will be purchased, and the game/show will be added to our calendar. Due to cost, we will no longer pre-purchase tickets with the hope that they will be sold. If there is enough interest, we will proceed with the ticket purchase.

THANKSGIVING 2024- In year’s past, we have done a Thanksgiving Day trip that includes dinner and a tour spot. Would you possibly be interested in doing this in 2024? If so, please email jerry@travelsilverlining.com with suggestions.

MULTI-DAY TRIPS 2025 

We are looking at Yosemite/Sequoia for either the Spring or Fall 2025.

Napa Wine Train will return September 2025.

Death Valley is also a consideration along with Sedona and Tombstone, AZ. Please give us your ideas!

Remember, Silver Lining is also a full travel agency.  Our agents can call you or meet with you personally to discuss future travel and cruises.  If you would like Silver Lining to come out to your community and present a day trip or travel agency/cruise presentation, let us know and we’ll schedule it!  For our “Cruise Nights”, we can also have one of our cruise ship reps join us for the presentation.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Silver Lining Travel reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If Silver Lining Travel cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, Silver Lining Travel has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer funds to the same event at the new future date. Persons wishing to cancel their reservation 45 calendar days, prior to an event will receive a refund, subject to a $10 Cancellation fee. Any cancellations made after the 45 days, WILL NOT receive a refund.
All times, pick-up locations, and itineraries are subject to change.
